Guthrie County State Bank is proud to announce the addition of a new team member. Sonya M. Pierce has accepted a position as a Universal Banker. This role works with customers to evaluate needs and offer financial products and services as well as building strong relationships by listening and communicating solutions.
Sonya graduated in May 2008 from Grand View University in Des Moines, IA, where she majored in Business Administration and Economics. She will contribute her positive relationship building skills and attention to details for this position. Most recently, she was employed as a Customer Service Representative at the Farmers State Bank in Yale, IA. Previously Sonya simultaneously managed the Mercy Medical Center West Lakes Gift Shop and Coffee Shop in West Des Moines, IA, where she was awarded Top Talent Member in 2011, served on the Lean–Process Improvement team, and lead the Employee Activity Committee.
