GCSB to launch Mobile Banking and New Bill Pay Service

Coming Soon – Mobile Banking and Faster Bill Pay Service!

In less than one month, Guthrie County State Bank will launch our mobile banking solution, which includes a new, faster bill pay service. We’ll kick it off with Open House events on Thursday, April 3, at both locations in Guthrie Center and Panora from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. Stop by and learn more about the mobile banking application, receive assistance downloading the app on your smartphone, register for prizes and enjoy refreshments.

As a part of our mobile banking solution, we will be launching a new and enhanced version of our consumer bill payment service. With the previous bill pay service, a check was mailed and took up to seven to 10 business days to be delivered. The new service will offer many new benefits and features including better cash flow control and the ability to accept electronic bills. Best of all, the new bill pay features a new payment model that charges your account on the same day the biller receives the funds for your payment.

If you are a current bill pay service customer, please note the following important points:

ACCESS: You will continue to access bill pay through www.gcsbank.com.
CONVERSION OF PAYEES: The majority of your payees will also be converted to the new system. In rare instances, a payee may not convert or the payee information may be what you initially entered when you added your payee to the old bill pay system.
REVIEW PAYEE INFORMATION: We will do our best to ensure we have the most current address and account information but we will also need your help to make sure all of your payments process correctly.
CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT: Once we have moved to the new bill payment service, it will be very important that you login to your account and ensure that all of your payee information is accurate.
PRINT OFF YOUR PAYMENT HISTORY: We are unable to convert your history of payments to the updated system. Please go to your current payment history listing and print off any history you think you may need before 03/20/2014. Guthrie County State Bank will also be able to access your history.

We thank you for your patience during this transition and we are confident you will be pleased with our new enhanced bill payment service. Contact us with any questions at (641) 332-2218 or (641) 755-2400 or stop by your branch to speak to a personal banker today.
