Like many of you, Guthrie County State Bank has been carefully watching the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) around the world, into the United States, and now into Iowa. We have continuously reviewed and discussed our Pandemic Plan to assess our preparedness and ability to provide our customers’ critical financial services during what could be a serious event while simultaneously keeping the health, safety and well-being of our team, our customers and the community a priority.
As guidance from healthcare experts continues to be updated on a regular basis, we have made the decision to change the way we currently provide services to our customers. Effective Wednesday, March 18th, we will maintain normal banking hours through our drive-up windows at both locations. Lobby access will be via appointment only. At this time, we do not know the duration of these changes but assume we’ll be very similar to the schedule our local school systems follow.
We are encouraging our cash-intensive customers to either call us ahead of time and provide us their order so that we can have it ready when they arrive or drop off their transaction and return once we have it ready for pick up.
Should you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call us or email us at gcsb@gcsbank.com.
