Getting to Know Laura
For nearly a decade, Laura Stetzel has been an integral part of the Guthrie County State Bank team. She joined us in 2016 as Loan Administrative Assistant, bringing with her a number of years of experience in banking and a strong desire to work in the community where she lives.
“The energetic atmosphere and the fact that every day is different is what I love most about my job,” Laura says. “I also really enjoy knowing our customers and being able to greet them by name and ask how things are.”
A Career Rooted In Relationships
Laura’s path to GCSB was rooted in her commitment to her hometown. Having settled down with her family in the area, she was drawn to a workplace that would let her contribute directly to her neighbors and community. Prior experience in banking gave her the foundation to jump right in, and her welcoming personality made her a natural fit for the customer-focused culture here at GCSB.
Life Beyond the Bank
Outside the office, Laura keeps busy with her husband, Tate, and their two sons, Nash and Treynor. Whether it’s camping, spending time with friends, or simply being outdoors, family life keeps her happily on the move.
When the day winds down, you’ll often find Laura relaxing on the deck with Tate, enjoying a cold beverage while their boys play outside.
One Last Fun Fact
Away from work, Laura is rarely without a good book in hand. She enjoys reading across all genres and always has something new on her list. Whether it’s a novel, a biography, or a lighthearted escape, she values the chance to unwind and recharge through reading.
