Let’s get to know her!

Meet Tawnia Ganzer
Branch Location: Guthrie Center
Year Started with GCSB: 2022

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career at GCSB?
A: The great group of people here at the bank is certainly a draw, but GCSB is a pillar of our community. Our employees take pride in contributing to the businesses, organizations, and activities that keep our small towns alive and well.

Q: Can you share a brief overview of your career path leading to your current role?
A: After graduating from Northwest Missouri State University, I began my career in Ag Lending with the USDA/Farm Service Agency, where I worked for nearly 22 years. In 2022, I transitioned to GCSB and have loved being part of this team.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at GCSB?
A: I often hear from customers, “This is why I love my small-town bank!” That feedback makes everything we do feel worthwhile.

Family Focused
When she’s not at work, Tawnia loves spending time with her family and friends, helping her kids with their 4-H projects, attending their activities, and diving into a good book.

Q: Do you have any hobbies or interests that might surprise us?
A: I enjoy sewing and quilting, though I haven’t had much time for it lately. I hope to get back to it in the future.

Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
A: Taking a ride through the pasture on the side-by-side and checking cows with my kids.

Small-Town Pride
Tawnia’s love for Guthrie County shines through in her work and personal life. Her favorite place to visit? The Red Barn. (If you know, you know!)

Q: What’s your favorite book?
A: Educated by Tara Westover. It’s not necessarily my all-time favorite, but it’s a book that stuck with me and gave me a lot to think about.

Now that you’ve learned a little more about Tawnia, don’t hesitate to say hello when you stop by the Guthrie Center branch. She’s always happy to chat and share her passion for agriculture and our community!
